North Dakota - 10K Drift Challenge [8/21/2020]

Of course we had to come back to North Dakota to do some drifting! My mind was in the right place, the car was running great and I knew I could win it!!

Car passed tech - we were ready to go!

Practice was all about working on my transition timing. Something I thought I could improve from the year before!

As I’ve taken my training a little more serious over the years, I realized it’s super important to fuel up with the good stuff! Stuff that will give me energy and the ability to perform my best!

This round included a lot of experimenting with camber and toe. As another year of progression occurs in the drifting field, we have to find ways to keep up with these kids! We ended up finding the fastest set up by toeing the rear tires inward until we landed at 5/8ths.

The competition was a double elimination shoot out style bracket. Basically, I qualified last (when we drew chips on Friday) leading me to battle the entire field from the bottom. With two “one more time” battles and a lot of very close tandems we fought our way to the finals. And for the second year in a row, we took home the 10k… along with a bad ass wrestling belt haha
